For months I have been counting down the weeks and days till i would finally be a married woman, free to experience the world without bounds with my then fiance (and now, husband). Meticulously reviewing, developing and refining all the major and minor details of my wedding on a weekly basis. The day finally arrived a week after the end of the school term, and on the 25th of July, i was whisked away from the life i had known for over two decades to start a new life together with…a MAN *horrified scream*. For months, I planned away; scrutinising every detail of this one event, but it arrived and passed by so swiftly that I didn’t even get to see half of it in action due to arriving late- as much as i wanted to avoid this. What i did get to experience felt like a blur due to being so overwhelmed by the myriad of faces approaching me. Luckily though, my guests were happy, which made me happy- and that to me, equates a successful day.

My dress was purchased from Dream Second Hand Wedding Dress in South Harrow. Beautiful range of dresses! I suggest you check her out if you are currently on the search for a dress.

My henna was done by none other than my talented cousin Amina. Her instagram page can be found >> here https://www.instagram.com/milla_shaiye/

I have compiled some shots from my wedding for you in a post! Although there aren’t many, i have done my best to select those which i felt best captured the atmosphere of the occasion.Be not startled! To respect the privacy of those in my photos, i have tried to creatively conceal their faces (and mine!) due to my hair being exposed. My twin sister said the enlarged flowers were strange but i feel as though they simply take time to warm to :). Mind you, these photos were not taken by a professional photographer, but my twin sister. Not bad for her first time ay?
